In 1 on 1 workshops I can give my undivided attention and we have time to do a little bit more. If you are interested on a 1 on 1 or 2 if you would like to do it with a friend just email me jackymcfarlane@bigpond and we can arrange a time and date. I can do 1 on 1 also @nelliescottage or my home studio in DONNYBROOK.

I have let my blog posts and my website lie unattended for quite a long while, I am now learning to bring my social media skills up to date Sana Turnock www.businessadvisoryswp.com.au and Julia Broad have given us some lessons, which has helped, but, its time to bring in the big guns, granddaughter Alyssa to help her nana. I do like the challenge of learning new things and although I am computer savvy, social media, I only know the very basics. So expect to see more happening on this website. Just to quickly bring you up to date I became an artist in residence at The Rabbit Hole in Bridgetown in 2018 with my own 3 metre square studio, selling art and teaching one on one and group workshops, you will find me there most Saturdays, a place I find so much creativity. And 3 months ago I joined a collective at Nellies Cottage in Bunbury, this is quite different to the Rabbit Hole, in that the cottage is a Vintage and French antiquities business and my assemblages and embroideries are on display there. I will also be teaching workshops and one on one there and you will find me there on Thursdays. Nellies Cottage logo above. Will bring you more up to date in another post, hopefully I can work out how to do links for those.

My workshops help you free up your creativity by letting go and not be judgemental of your art. Get in the moment, enjoy and have fun. Stress is not good for our health, rushing here rushing there, expectations to excel in work, home and personal appearances all add to stress. Employment for most does not encourage or allow creativity or provide avenues for self expression. Learning new art techniques will give you confidence within your art, you will become happier with your results, a great stress reliever. Leave expectations at the door when you walk into the workshop and don't expect to walk out with a masterpiece, that will take practise, but you will have a unique piece of art that you created, no one else can do the same, it is yours, take ownership. Use the talents you possess, for the woods would be very silent, if no birds sang, but the best - Henry van Dyke - |
